Hello all,
Below are some before and after pictures of a few of the projects from the Fox8 this spring. I am already redoing one piece do to a "whoopsy" by a friend. Otherwise, I am pretty proud of the work, mostly happy it went well (read: not leaking into the cabin) as practice for my next boat. (FYI - you can click on an image for a slide show)
This first series shows the above deck wood and companionway hatch:
BEFORE: you can see the washed out wood
BEFORE: you can see the flaking companionway hatch
AFTER: you can see the companionway hatch and surrounding wood
This next series shows the companionway wood and cabin cushions:
BEFORE: you can kinda see the companionway wood, specifically note the step at the bottom
BEFORE: you can see the old cushions, and specifically note the companionway hatch face plate
AFTER: you can see all of the wood from the cabin and a little into the cabin
AFTER: you can see the newly fabricated oak companionway hatch face plate, and the cushions, specifically the rainbow "colorful" one
AFTER: you can see the companionway wood
AFTER: i shortened the exposure to see into the cabin better
AFTER: just a fun picture Abby took
